N3VLYNNN: My Path to Healing & Creative Liberation ~ A Memoir (Softcover Book, B&W, Signed)

35.00

When I began writing this piece, I didn’t know it was going to be a memoir. I thought I would just dip my toes into the sandy shores, but I soon found myself far out in the middle of the sea. Once I started writing, I just couldn’t stop, and I never looked back.

What I thought would be a short article about my experience as a black woman in the Pole Dance world, quickly unfolded into an abundantly rich memoir about my life. This memoir details my 7 year journey of nurturing my discipline and craft as a Pole Dancer, through my gifts as as a multi-faceted Artist, Filmmaker, and Creative Entrepreneur.

This story also captures the depths of my journey as a woman who is healing intergenerational, sexual, and emotional wounds. Within these pages, I share some of the traumas I’ve faced in my most significant relationships, my enduring life path towards holistic wellness, and how I’ve stepped into my own light.

It is my story of how—amidst the challenge of never quite finding a space where my whole self was embraced—I repeatedly chose to see my own gifts, and craft my own lane.

This book contains some of the rawest and most powerful truth-tellings I have ever shared.

I only hope that my heart reaches another heart. 💛

Book Description:

Following the 2013 release of my acclaimed documentary film, I heeded a new calling to pursue Pole Dance as an art form and catalyst of authentic self-expression.

From that point forward, my dream to become a professional Pole Artist planted a seed within me that moulded my life path for years to come.

Pole Dance unexpectedly opened the door for me to uncover expressions of femininity and sensuality, which then inspired a deeper wave of healing from sexual and emotional abuse.

As my journey unfolds within these pages, the cyclical patterns from those traumas continue to inform my experiences within familial and romantic relationships, as I strive to regain my path to self-love and healing through crises.

Amidst my most intimate struggles, unfolds an overarching story-of an Artist’s path towards her own vision.

This memoir reveals my journey of Creative Entrepreneurship as a Filmmaker, and how I have used my Art to design a lifestyle that supports my dreams.

N3VLYNNN also details my journey of pursuing a professional Artistic career within the budding Pole Dance industry, and the challenges I have faced walking through predominantly white spaces as a black woman with a unique background, perspective, and multitude of talents.

This is my story of how I have continued to see and reaffirm my own gifts, and carve out my own unique space as an Artist, Woman, and Leader.
