This short memoir tells the story of my whirlwind romance with a black detrans lesbian. Through a window into my own past relationship, I bring awareness to how internalized misogyny and racism can show up in lesbian relationships, particularly when one partner has a history of identifying out of womanhood.
Above all, this story is a personal account of my own healing from lifelong abuse, breaking patterns and cycles brought forth by intergenerational trauma. It is a step along my path towards self-love and healthy relationships.
